Call Committee
![]()
Redeemer Lutheran Church and Preschool has formed a Call Committee to begin the process of looking for a pastor. Our pastor, Rev. Jack Cascione, has announced his pending retirement in 2012. We have already solicited names from our church members. In addition, we are making this page available on our website for those outside our congregation who may have names of candidates to submit for consideration.
If you know of someone you think the Call Committee should contact, please send that information to:
CallComm@redeemerlutheranchurch.org
We will request that candidates complete our Call Candidate Information form and return it to the Call Committee. Once we receive it we will contact them for further discussion.
Please keep in mind that the candidate must have a Master of Divinity Degree and be a graduate from an LCMS, ELS, or WELS seminary, or from a church body in fellowship with the LCMS, ELS, or WELS.
A copy of the form in RTF format is available here:
The completed forms can be emailed to the same address given above. Or, it can be mailed to:

Some have asked us why Redeemer’s call process requires this form and an interview. This is not the normal procedure they (or we), are used to following. Members of a synod, conference, or similar structure that train their own clergy and teachers can assure other members that their staff meets certain requirements in confession and practice. With such a process a divine call can be issued without question as to their qualifications. Redeemer has been independent since leaving the LCMS in 2005. Thus we need to inquire of the candidates on our own.
We rely on calling men who were trained in conservative, confessional Lutheran bodies with which we have no formal relationship. The divergent practices and beliefs that have sadly been witnessed to some degree in these synods have necessitated the use of an interview process with potential candidates for a call. This practice is similar to the same certification process used by the seminaries of most synods.
Any questions can be directed to the Call Committee at the above-mentioned email address.
